SASANA
Artist and illustrator.
Born in 1996 in Shizuoka Prefecture. SASANA began working as an artist in 2020 and is currently focusing on acrylic paintings. Using urban women as motifs, he reconstructs influences from city fashion, beauty, and digital illustration, which have deeply impacted him, into art. Through a blend of abstraction and figuration, SASANA expresses the cool aura of others and the impact he feels—nuances that are difficult to put into words and feel diminished when easily verbalized.
When creating his works, he first draws digitally and then transforms them into acrylic paintings through hand-painting techniques, ensuring each piece is one of a kind. In addition to flat visual expressions, he also attempts to visualize senses beyond sight by using three-dimensional expressions with modeling paste.
