Chiyu UEMAE,Japanese Post War Avant-garde Artist of Gutai Group. Chiyu Uemae‘s pictures are full of changeable accumulations and striking colors, sometimes the colors are hidden in the lower layers, and the surface layer is monochromatic. The rich, concrete visual intensity created from the materiality of this material comes from the Gutai Manifesto (published by Jiro Yoshihara in 1956) “Working in a more intense and proactive way. It is not the result that matters, but the act of leaving a trace of the self in the material”.
Emi Uchida’s abstract work picture as a whole makes people feel the infinitely extended cosmic space. A more careful observation is actually a network of countless charcoal connections, implying that the neural network cells are closely connected with the universe, and it is also the connection between the universe and the space inside the body. The infinitely extending flight is also the spatial leap from the daily to the extraordinary.
Yuki Matsueda is known for his unique three-dimensional pop-out sculptures that are amusing and thought-provoking. Yuki Matsueda’s practice was born of an accident, his first work Super Egg in 2007 broke the plane of his traditionally two-dimensional work and unleashed the infinite energy of the egg escaping its shell. His practice involves making backing prints and then drawing the object out of its static world through a complex process involving PET casting and shaping. Through his art of liberating ordinary objects from boredom, and integrating witty humor in it, Matsueda hopes to break the barrier between fine art and design.
Jiang Zhenggen‘s works have an artistic conception of “emptiness and tranquility”, which is a spiritual conception of the inner dimension of Chinese traditional culture. “Dotted Moss on Stone” is a continuation and material transformation of the original acrylic on canvas “Moss on Stone” by artist Jiang Zhenggen. “Dotted Moss on Stone” originates from the influence of grotto culture on the artist, and the work emphasizes the idea of human-object sensitivity, human-object dialogue, and the idea that all things have spirituality. The work is made of a mixture of industrial foam and exterior wall putty, mounted with tung oil and gauze, and inlaid with crystal stones in the form of moss. The “Dotted Moss on Stone” is also a painting on material. The work has a kind of lightness and spirituality in its thickness.
